Kenmore Elite Unknown Part - Does anyone know what this is/where it should be installed

I am replacing the seal and bearings on a Kenmore Elite front load washer. Model 469.41073310. When I got the drum out, this was in the bottom of the case. I did not see it fall out so do not know where it should go back to. Can anyone tell me where it should be installed?
