Hey all -
As stated I have a Frigidare FFID2423RS4B Dishwasher which is about 2 years old. We built a new home and it was included upon purchase. The dishwasher stopped 'working' about a week ago. When I would try an initiate a cycle the normal washing and washing icons would blink. I took the unit apart to see if the latch was the issue and seems like there could be a short or a malfunctioning mechanism.
However when I took the connectors off to look for a part number I noticed a very darkened connector on the black wire side (assumed power). I would love to attach my pictures, but they are not hosted on a site. So if anyone has a good way let me know.
My main questions are: 1. Should I try and push Frigidare to replace even though outside the 1 Year warranty? 2. Is this a fire issue? 3. If I replace the latch mechanism should I be good to go?
I have a big family so safety is much more of a concern than $500-$700 for a replacement unit.
Thanks everyone and Happy Memorial Day!
Kyle
