issue with replacement element for Whirlpool stovetop

So I ordered a replacement element for my Whirlpool RCC3024GQ2 stovetop, but the replacement has one tab that's a different size than the original. How do I remedy this? The original has one narrow and one wide tab per side, while the replacement has one wide with two wide tabs. See my pictures below.
