The gas dryer works if it has been idle for a few hours. If the door is opened during normal use the dryer will not restart. Instead, when I press the start button to restart the dryer the motor will start running and the tumbler will jerk/inch a minuscule degree. If the start button is held too long or pressed a few more times in an attempt to restart the dryer the motor no longer responds. A few hours later the dryer will operate again.
