Dryer stopped working. It wont start. I checked the door switch, its fine, checked the heating element, 9.6 ohms (within range). The timer is running I can hear it. I'm guessing maybe a thermal cutoff. I dont have internet access where the dryer is, and I forgot to write down the model number, I'll post it in a little while. The dryer is in great condition as far as appearance. Also previous to this problem the thing did'nt work correctly on the low heat setting, and it did not dry as well (about 1&1/2 cycles to dry clothes) in the timed dry cycle. Any infomation about these things would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing I would do is check the thermal fuse (#7 on the diagram) for continuity. If it's open, replace it together with the high limit thermostat (#15) according to the manufacturer instructions. I would clean the dryer vent all the way through the outlet, and the air ducts and the lint chute inside the dryer. - The thermal fuse Part number: AP3132867
