I have a Whirlpool top freezer, model number WRT311FZDW00. This is in a business setting. We recently moved to a new building where we have access to an ice maker hook up. This fridge came with an ice maker back when it was purchased a couple of years ago, but we never took it out of the box.

I went to hook it up today and noticed that the connector is not correct. This is not the correct ice maker. Our Whirlpool fridge has an 8 pin connector, and the ice maker has a 4 pin. Strangely the plastic cover has the spot for the 4 pin connector. The fridge was purchased from Best Buy, but I doubt they would work with us since we have had it several years now.

I have tried searching around for the correct ice maker or a converter wiring harness without success.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to go forward?

Thanks everyone!
