Hi

We have an old Thermador double oven, model CMT -21. The upper oven baking element AP2826938 is no longer good and discontinued. One fellow told me the upper baking element for CMT-227 works (AP2825757) - says he has pulled CMT227 elements out of working CMT 21 ovens. Yet the various repair sites say they are not compatible. Pics of the two look identical, including length as shwon on this site, and close up screw holes for CMT 227. Does anyone know why they are supposedly incompatible
