Hi,

Dryer Model: Whirlpool LE9200XWN0
Date Purchased: New in 1988

Problem: The Dry-Miser or Automatic Cycle doesn't work. The dryer heat works great and dries the clothes but it doesn't turn the dryer off when the clothes are dry. Instead it just keeps going and overdrys the cloths.

Notes: timer works. On all timed settings the timer will shut the dryer off and even reduce the heat at the end of the timed drying setting.

I don't know how the Dry-Miser feature works and I don't know which part to replace.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Best regards,

David

Here is your wiring diagram.
Your looking for about 4050-4950 ohms!

Hi Billy,

Thanks. I measured across that resistor and got infinity. I am going to replace that resistor and see what happens.

Thanks

David
