I've noticed ice and some frozen food in the refrigerator section. What do you think is causing the issue?

I found a similar question and the response by appliance parts pros was that it may be the control box. For some reason, it was posted under a filter drier.

What is the procedure to testing this part?

Thanks!

I appreciate the information. Do you know if Whirlpool will cover the part since there is a technical service pointer on it? I believe the refrigerator is around 2 years old, so it is likely out of the regular warranty.

I don't think they will cover it.

I tried online chat and calling whirlpool, since I read some people had success with TSP repairs after warranty. Most say that it takes 4 or 5 calls to get a rep to do it or find one that knows how to.

The most they would do is cover the part for me, but I would have to pay for the service call and labor. That would be more than just buying the part.

I'm an HVAC contractor, but I think they require a whirlpool dealer or authorized dealer to do the work. I just tried the homeowner line. I wasn't sure if there was a line for commercial users.

I appreciate the help. Thanks for taking the time to look up the information.
