Salvaged it from lowes dumpster. Leaking 134a when turned on (deliberately done by someone). Fixed leak added service port. Vacuumed it down for a good 20 min. I have done this 100's of times on others buy the way and Ive fixed our ac units here over my 50 years of life. Added a tea spoon of oil. Recharged with 134a (i have the guages) and no cold in the coils. The suction line will get cold (ice) about 6 inches out. These are known for the temp control panel to go bad (and it is) as why they tossed it. But I hot wired the compressor and everything comes on fans lights compressor it all works but no cold in the coils. Wile messing with it the cabinet gets hot. HELP!!! I could use a spare freezer

I learned today i dont like 134a. Running 1-2 psi. I used to 20-50psi on older stuff. Poor little compresser was break dancin before i read up on it. This new 134a sucks spring a leak in a second ur stuff thawing out. My 408a ice cream machine leaks over a 2 year period. Yes its the service port leaking. No im not fixing it. Its cheaper to add a little every other year. I did add a gasket to the port cap. No soap bubbles after.
