The other morning I noticed the compressor or fan on my refrigerator (side by side) wasn’t running. I opened it up and it was slightly warm inside the freezer and fridge, the light was still on. I unplugged it and opened the control board to find, what I assume is a ground wire, didn’t have good contact. I secured it and plugged the refrigerator back in and viola, compressor and fan start running. I’ve had to do this process roughly 5 times in 2 days. The last time that same wire actually seemed in contact pretty good as I’ve clamped it down tighter each time with pliers. What’s the issue here? Does my wiring harness have a short? Is there some other underlying issue? I’m fairly knowledgeable about tools and finding information, but not so keen on using a multimeter or repairing refrigerators. Can you explain it to me like I’m 5 years old? Thanks.
