Hi. I have a Fridgedaire Gallery upright freezer, model GLFH21F8HWC that, after 10 years of no problems, is starting to act up. It is now only able to maintain freezing temperatures if the Extreme Freeze button is pushed. It will then run constantly and not shut off.. If I unplug it from the wall and plug it in again nothing happens at all, until I press either the up or down arrow . Then it runs, cools riight down to -23 and won't shut off, until I press a button.
The electronic control pad seems to display real numbers but something isn't triggering a threshold event (either temp up or down. Everything looks good visually.
Maybe the control panel? the thermocupler?
What do you think?
