I took apart the dryer to replace the heating element. When I went to put it back together I noticed a green wire with one end screwed to the control panel but the other end is just dangling. I have looked around and don't see where the other end connects to anything. Any ideas where the other end connects? I do not have a wiring diagram. Nothing is in the owners manual. missdaize1025 attached the following image(s):

That's a ground wire. The square end is designed to slide over a metal tab and bite into it to ground it. Look for a piece of the shell or control panel that has small scratches that match that clip.

Thanks for the response. I assume it is to ground the control panel. I just don't know where the metal tab end came from and I don't see any marks/scratches on any of the edges the wire might reach. I am waiting for GE Appliance Customer Service to respond although I am not holding my breath for DIY help from them. I'm sure they'd be happy to help for a fee. I've searched the internet for a wiring diagram but haven't had any luck.
