The water dispenser has suddenly stopped working. I hear what appears to be the motor whining faintly but no water coming thru. The icemaker fills up and makes ice properly. I wondered if by turning off the icemaker for a couple of days has caused the water line to freeze or something or it was just coincidence right afterward.
The water line is receiving water. I have checked that. How do I know if I have a water dispenser motor problem versus a line problem? What sort of troubleshooting steps should I take?
Thanks!

Pull the refrigerator out of the wall, remove the cover and locate the water inlet valve. Locate the water dispenser solenoid (where the 5/16" tube connected to), remove the wires and check the solenoid for continuity. Check for 120 VAC between these wires while the water dispenser calls for water. Post the results.
Gene.
