My daughter reports that the broiler will ignite, but not the lower oven. What to check? Igniter, thermopile?

Dan,

Start the bake cycle. Open the oven door and watch the bake igniter (next to the bottom burner.

If it's not turning red, most likely the igniter has gone bad.

I'm assuming the range is not in your house. Would your daughter able to replace the part?
