I'm a little confused because what I'm looking at doesn't match up with what I've seen in online guides. I bought a replacement igniter. I thought it would lead to the back where there is a plastic connector. However, I've got multiple wires running back there. Do I just cut the two coming from the existing igniter and splice them with the nuts? Does it matter which is which? artemis attached the following image(s):

That's pretty much it.
Unplug the range, cut the wires near the old igniter and remove it.
Install the new one and then trim the old wires, strip the ends and wire nut them to the new igniter. Its 120 volts AC so the polarity doesn't matter. Make sure the wires aren't near anything that get too hot.
Sometimes it helps to take a few pics before you start.
