Our dryer has been acting fickle for a couple of months. Sometimes it will run the first time we hit the start button. Often times, however, it will not start. When that happens we slowly turn the dial through the Timed Drying cycle and it will kick on and run for the duration without any issues. So, yeah it works, but obviously something isn't right. I would like to get out in front of this problem and fix it before it stops for good. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your time and thoughts.

If we mash the start button a couple of times it will turn on, especially if we move the timer. Already replaced the start button. I'm thinking it's the timer.

I'd say it's the timer too . Burnt contacts inside probably .
