Samsung Dryer doesn't tumble, no sounds at all

Samsung dryer was working fine. Suddenly, power comes on, panel lights up, I can choose a cycle but pressing on button nothing at all happens. No sound from motor, no tumbling, nothing. If belt were broken (DH hasn't been able to get at the back of the machine to check yet), wouldn't the motor make some noise? Does this sound more likely a bad motor, a bad on switch, or could it possibly be as simple as a broken belt? I can turn the drum by hand from inside the drum.
