Dryer had large crack in it and wouldn't move anymore. Ordered the replacement drum and installed it with my dad's help last night. It works but the wheel turns slow - no noise. My dad said he could smell something so we turned it off quickly.

Should I try to replace the drum rollers? Or any other ideas?

Not ready to throw the towel in yet. Thank you in advance for any help :)

I suggest you try turning the drum by hand and see if it is binding. It may be the rollers or the idler pulley or the drum seals.
