Starting a few days ago, the water dispenser on my refrigerator will start working normally, but will suddenly start making a jackhammer sound and the water flow rate drops dramatically. When you release the fill paddle, the sound stops. If you press the paddle again, the noise may not return or it may return after as little as a second or two of filling the cup. We've cleaned the coils and checked to ensure no kinks in any of the water lines. I re-seated the filter thinking a seal may be bad and letting in air, but no air is coming out of the dispenser and it only stopped the sound for a couple of water cup fills (maybe a liter of water total). The filter gets replaced every six months by the indicator light and the refrigerator came with the house.
