GFI was tripping once in a while due to the defrost heat isolation leak to ground.
I replaced it today and now as soon as I close the freezer door the breaker trips.
if i unplug the Ice maker all is well.
What is unknown is that while I was waiting for the new heater the ice maker worked fine and was plugged in for the whole week.
What changed while I replaced the Heater element?
