During Hurricane Harvey, my house was flooded with a few inches of water. The filter at the bottom of the refrigerator was in the water. But everything is working fine as before. Does the filter have to be replaced? I figure, since it's completely sealed, there shouldn't be any contamination from the flood water.

My Apologies for the Effects of Hurricane Harvey. I am located here in Atlanta, GA. We actually felt some effects of Hurricane Irma. If I were you, i would replace the water filter just to be on the safe side. Its not the things we can see but the things we can't. The interesting thing is here in we only go strong rain and wind. But after that, I ended up replacing our furnace filter. Hope This helps

If you don't change it and then get sick, please come back and tell us about it. It would be good to know.
