My washing machine will fill and start to agitate then click a few times and then agitate a couple more times then click and stop doing anything then eventually just drain. It will spin and drain if you set it on that and start it. What will cause this.

It may help us diagnose if you were able to film a video and post to youtube. Then give us a link here.
Take the catch off the lid and then insert into to lid lock so you can keep the lid open while filming, so we can see and hear whats going on.

Your problem may be the transmission
or the splutch cam kit ( the shifting mechanism)
or the shifter (shift actuator)
or it may be as simple as the start run capacitor getting weak.
capacitor is my guess without seeing or hearing the issue.

Ok I will try to do that. We set the cycle switch in between cycles and it worked fine. We put a load in it and tried again and it wouldn't work again.
