I really like my Maytag SG1000, especially when it is working well.

I recently installed new dryer belt, part # 3-12959 poly V belt. It was easy.

Note that the dryer does not have to be pulled out from any cubbyhole or installation cabinet to have the belt removed.

The back-slanting lower front panel comes off with phillips screws, and the top front panel comes off with phillips screws on the top front edge.

From there it is easy to replace the belt.

I think the Maytag SE1000 would work the same way; that's the electric version of the dryer (SG1000 is the gas version).
