Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 7/16/2017(UTC) Posts: 2		Our Kenmore upright freezer runs all the time and frosts up very quickly. My wife defrosted it two weeks ago and a week later it was totally frosted up again. I did turn the temp control down from 5 to 3(range: off to 7) and it seemed to keep it from running quite as much. Also, when the freezer was newer it used to make a vacuum like sound when you closed the door; it does not do that any more. I should probably mention too that the freezer is in the garage and it is hot out there in the summer(Northern Indiana). Thanks in advance for any help you can provide! Gary

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 7/16/2017(UTC) Posts: 2		I am thinking possibly a bad door gasket. Won't seal; freezer runs all the time and frosts up. But, is it worth spending $130.00 on a freezer nearly 20 years old or should I just buy a new more efficient freezer?
