Dryer not getting hot, nor drying clothes. It keeps tumbling, all night even, when in auto mode, but clothes are still damp and cool in the morning. It will stop at correct time on timer. I tested the thermostat and high temp switches with multimeter and both showed continuity. Have cleared the vent, moved the unit to middle of room with hose off, no change.
I took the front off and watched it run. Heating coil gets hot, lights gas burner but burner shuts off after 7 seconds. It doesn't come back on for several minutes, only to burn for 7 seconds again.

What to do next?

thanks

Whirlpool 279834 Dryer Gas Valve Coil Kit - AppliancePartsPros.com

I'm assuming you mean you opened the inspection door in the front panel. Running it without whole front panel alters airflow and can make the thermostat open early.
Most likely the coils. You do both at once. You can ohm them out but sometimes they ohm out normally at low temp and are still flaky at higher temps. Pay attention to the little metal sleeve in one of them, it should be transferred unless it stays on valve stem.

There are other less common possibilities but for $15 try the coils 1st.
