A week old fridge. Fridge keeps everything cold and freezer keeps everything frozen. No issues. However, I am guessing this fridge runs (constant humming) 70% of the time (just guessing-have not timed it). Is that normal ? Note I do not have much in the fridge at this time, but not sure if that makes a difference.

I just got a new Whirlpool refrigerator yesterday and was wondering the same. For me, it seems the problem was that the installers did not align the doors. When I looked at the installation guide it sates at the beginning that the doors ar intentionally shipped misaligned.

I've got the same issue. If I find anything out I'll post it. It seemed that I read in the manual that it would run more often (yet giving you energy savings). Mine shuts off as you open the door and then starts a few seconds after you close it. Weird. xq3pafkg

I have the same issue. Something runs about 70% of the time. Could it be a circulation fan? I've had it about a week and am afraid my electric bill will be spiking!
