I have a Whirlpool Senseon Dryer (M#: GEW9868KQ3). The dryer has been taking longer and more frequent cycles to dry lately. Last night something new happened though. The power works, but when we hit "Timed Dry" and press start, it goes to "Sensing" cycle and will not start. I am going to clean the vent hose tonight, but should I also replace the thermal fuse?

That sounds likely, the thermal fuse opens the motor circuit and a blocked duct will often cause the thermal fuse to blow. You can briefly connect the two leads of the thermal fuse and see it that lets it start. Unplug it first of course, then the 2 female terminals can be taped or slid together (the two round parts will interlock), bypassing the thermal fuse. If it runs there's your answer.

Do not run it as normal with the thermal fuse bypassed, you would be taking a huge risk. This is only for a quick test, 120VAC passes through those terminals so make sure they are clear of any contact with other parts before attempting to start the dryer.
