Wife told me the fridge and freezer sides were both getting warm.

I found the compressor is not running. It will buzz a bit when first plugged in, goes 10-15 sec then CLICK and it doesn't start. It goes through this cycle ~ every 3 min.

I took the start overload relay off, shook it and nothing is rattling. There is low resistance across the compressor pins (10 ohms and under). None of the compressor pins short to ground. There is 120 VAC going to the start relay. The condenser fan is running. The evaporator fan was running when it was still cold. All lights are on.

My immediate thought is to replace the start overload relay, but with its internal parts not rattling I'm hesitant.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Bob
