Hi. I bought a used washer and have had a few headaches. When the last repair (drain pump) was completed we noticed this piece caught in the drainage hose. It is black thin rubber round with a little slit to accommodate a tab probably for assembly. There is a small hole towards one end and the number "2"is imprinted on it. Please see the photo, I included a $20 for scale but it's about one-half inch around and really thin. We are trying to figure out 1) where it goes and 2) if it's supposed to have the hole in it.

I've been looking through pictures and diagrams to identify it but perhaps someone will know it offhand. I suppose I'm also concerned it isn't actually part of the machine but the remnants of some pocket's contents.

Thanks.
