side by side built-in Refrigerator door will start to close from open position then stops. Contacted parts direct and so far they have sold me a lower and upper hinge bracket, but they can not tell me how this closes the door. Is there a spring, cam, piston?
I have researched and do not see a closing cam on this model refrigerator. Since it is a built-in, it does require alot of work to pull out to get the door off, so I want to do this one time and have it fixed.

Kenmore Elite Side by side Refrigerator/Freezer 401.40483800 HUH?? On most refrigerators the trick to get the door to close is to jack up the front. I do not know Kenmore, but there should be leveling screws on the legs or rollers in the front. Get something & some help to lift up the front. You should be able to see the legs and the screws to jack them DOWN to lift the front. OK Rex R. Bahr
