I have a washer that quite agitating and spinning. I checked the coupling between motor and transmission and it is good. Checked the motor and found that it hummed and with a small push with my finger at the coupling it would function properly. Tried again and still hangs up. I cleaned motor w/ electric clean and lubricated the end of shaft, but still sticking. When you give it a push I hear like a contact break free. Any idea's?

Check the red wire where it goes into the motor plug. It is common for these wires to break right where it connects to the terminal inside the plug, and this is the start power. Should be the bottom wire. It broken, repair connection and be sure wire harness is securely taped to the plastic tang on the bottom of the plug. Factory tape comes off allowing wiring movement that results in broken wire. If NOT broken check the start capacitor.
