First noticed problem when would be on convection bake... timer dings and food not cooked and oven only lukewarm. After watching more closely, realized that a few minuets into cooking that the oven was just turning itself off. Switched to just using the back (instead of convec. bake) and problem seemed to go away. After more time, same problem when using bake. Next not only would the oven turn off, but the clock would blink (as if power blink). Lastly, oven cuts off and display goes black... wait about 2-10 min. (varies) and the display will come back by itself and everything except baking will work normally.

I have checked all the house electrical wiring/breakers - all tight, no burnt spots, etc. I have removed the control board and visually inspected it and the wires/connections, etc. Again no visual evidence of a problem.

Is there a something that is getting hot, causing the board to shut off, and the once it cools the board comes back??

The only other issue this oven/range has had is the triple element burning out. Replacement was successful for that.

Thanks for the feedback.

NOTE: even though the username says GE Range, this is regarding the range reference in the model # 790.92903015 - Kenmore
