Inglis brand washing machine. When filling, the water temperature coming in is as follows with the corresponding water temperature selector switch setting.

Switch / Water Temp
Cold / Cold
Cool / Cool
Warm / Cold
Hot / Cold

I believe it is the Water Temperature ATC Switch (W10184148), but curious if the water valve assembly, specifically the thermistor could be to blame.

I don't know much about this Inglis brand washer, but when I see all the water settings resulting in only cold water coming in, I think bad hot water side of the water valve or in some machines, its a bad hot water valve.

Best way to find out is to check for voltage to the hot water valve when you select "hot".

If you have voltage, check the water valve's coil for continuity. If you don't have voltage find out why.

No continuity, replace water valve.

There is hot water coming through, as the water temperature increases when the selector switch is on "Cool". Every other setting, the water coming through is straight cold water. The water valve assembly has a thermistor according to the part description, so I'm wondering if it could be that. I'll check the voltage, though first.

I clicked on you model number and imagine my surprise when I see all the internal parts are Whirlpool direct drive which I am very familiar with.

I have 27 years of experience with this basic design.

This is your water valve. It combines both hot and cold valves with the water dispenser/vacuum break and the thermistor is mounted right in the middle of it.

Have you checked the screens in the water valve yet?

The same part is about $7 more at $ears.
