Our washer is spinning, however the clothes are very wet at end of cycle. I replaced the belt. I tried the spin cycles on the different garment types. The drum is empty of excess water. Looking for advice?

have you actually seen the drum spinning or can you verify it is spinning?
it sounds as if the drum is not spinning at all.
have you noticed that clothes are wound around the agitator post?

Yes sir, the drum spins during cycle, the lid is temporarily open for inspection. The machine moves through the wash and drain cycles. The clothes are evenly spaced in drum, just really damp at end of cycle.

Ok as for the speed of the spin, is it fast enough to sling the clothes against the sides of the drum?
Does it make any unusual noise when spinning?
Does it shake as if it had an uneven load?
Does the tub spin while full of water or does it struggle until most of the water is pumped out?

yes sir, the tub spins fast enough to push garments to side of drum. There is no unusual noise during cycle. No out of balance issues while spinning. Tub seems to spin fine during wash and drain cycle. Thanks,

If the tub is spinning at the correct speed and for the correct time then the only other issue might be a slow drain (bad pump, clogged pump impeller, clogged drain line, etc.) not allowing time for the tub to be empty of water and thus not allowing the water to be slung out of the clothes.
Try a test and do a small load of whites [just a few] and set the water level to the smallest setting. See if the load is still sopping wet then.

I ran a small load of towel, they are still very wet. I removed the pump and inspected the impeller, it looked intact with no damage. The pulley and bearing moved freely. I noticed this is a replacement pump from a previous repair. Can pump be defective with no visible defects? I though the new belt would help with RPM's. It seems like the drum could spin faster. How long should the spin cycle run, and what is the test procedure to check spin duration. Thank you, Mark
