Hey folks, I'm looking at buying a used Thermador 36 inch gas range with a griddle. Great price, but one problem, the griddle doesn't work. I got a schematic from Thermador for a similar model. The best I can figure based on that is that there are two heating elements in there, but because neither one is heating I am assuming they are fine (they both wouldn't go out at once, right?). I also see a computer in there that I guess it could be, or some harnessing.

Does anyone have any other ideas? How hard is the computer and harnessing to get at if I need to replace it? I'm no pro, but I'm pretty handy. Cost-wise, I am figuring $500 in parts as a worse case scenario and being able to repair it myself. Is that a realistic number? Am I getting in over my head?

Thanks!
