We have a family of 10 which means our 4 year old dryer has been used heavily. It has just developed a rhythmic sqeak that occurs with each drum rotation. Based on what I have read, it most likely is the the drum slides that are worn out. Based on the parts explosion diagram, it seems there are 2 different drum slides. Are there other slides not shown?; and are there other easlily replaceable parts that you would recommend changing out at this time? Also, are there insctructions included with the parts for removal of the front panel? Thanks for your forum-
Roger

Hi Roger I have not worked on that model, but in general GE dryers come apart by removing screws which are inside the door jam, upper, and hold the top to the frame. Once the top is off you have access to the slides. You will need two sets, green on top, white on the sides. I would also replace the rear drum sleeve as it tends to go out on the GE's and may be the cause of your noise. You will need to take off the front and then take out the drum. Here is the part. Part number: AP2621911
