In July there was a pop sound while I was using the stove - husband & son checked it out - said it would be 300$ ish to replace the electrical panel thing, which I did not do. I cook almost every night and have used it continuously since then
Front left burner is pretty much on high when you use it, won't adjust to lower heat. Other 3 burners maybe don't get quite as hot as they used to, but they all work & I've had no problems cooking with it. This has been consistent since whatever happened in July and I do cook almost every night, I use all the burners.

If a burner/element is stuck on high, its usually the switch is shorted internally. You probably need a new one.
If I were you, I'd get the part number off the old switch and then look that up. That's the easiest way to avoid getting the wrong switch.
