Our GE WES1450DM1BB has recently started malfunctioning.
When the door is opened, the fan starts, the turntable starts and the light turns on. I have not let it run for more than 1-2 seconds in this state.
From what I've been reading, this is a common problem and the door interlock switch has failed. Sound correct?
Will the part number of the switch be on the switch, so I know what part to order?

Tried looking up your MW, all that comes up is a glass tray. You probably need a new switch. It will be the one that doesn't click when you press the actuator. :) The number and amperage will be on it. Usually any micro switch with the right size terminals and an equal or better amp rating will work as a replacement. I used to buy ones with a 21 amp rating. You could pop them open and reuse any lever from your old switch. I used them in microwaves, ovens, and icemakers. I never had one fail from amperage. Do a search on Epay or your local electronics place.

Thanks for the feedback.
I have not opened up my microwave yet, so I don't know if it's the same part number.
