My Whirlpool washer (#WTW4800XQ2) started having balancing issues recently where the tub would bang against the outer wall. I replaced all 4 suspension rods (#W10780048) and the springs that attach the tub to the rods (W10400895). However, the tub still bangs against the outer wall. Of course, we try to balance the load as much as possible but it still is out of balance. Any suggestions on what could cause this issue?

Ok. I think I solved this myself. I decided to let the washer go through a load to see if that caused the new springs to "seat". As the tub was filling with water, I could hear the springs doing just that. So four days and several loads later (large, medium and small), there's been no balancing issues and no banging of the tub.

BTW, replacing the suspension springs was super easy. The hardest part was getting the washer out of a confined space so I would do the work.
