i cannot get water to run from the water inlet valve to the icemaker.
I have replaced the water inlet valve, so I do not think that is the problem.
Do you know what else I can check?

Have you checked the water inlet in the wall behind the IM? If the tubing is OK and not frozen up, then its probably the ice maker.
