I feel there is really nothing wrong with the dishwasher. This is the 3rd time it has happened after the power has been off. The first time just as I was about to give up and call a repair person or buy a new unit, I ran across a post in a repair blog that solved the problem. I can't relocate it but it involved resetting the push buttons/control board by unplugging the buttons from the control board.

Prior to the power being off due to recent hurricane the dishwasher worked fine. Now it will start, the tub fills, the soap dispenser opens but it goes no further.

I've tried a half dozen reset procedures that I found online but so far none has the magic. Help!

Correction on model: Whirlpool WDF530PAYM7
