The lint trap extends down in front of blower fan housing and blocking installation of blower fan. Does anyone know how the vent trap is removed?

You might take a look at this online manual. Around page 69 and 70 it shows how to remove the bulkhead to get to the blower. Its not a fun or short job. Good luck.

Thanks a bunch for the reply and instructions. I found that I was able to squeeze the fan past the vent trap instead of dismantling the bulkhead. Tight and a bit tedious, but I'm back in business now.
