My gas dryer has recently started flaking out. It starts as normal and the heat is good but the heat quits and dryer finishes cyle without any heat. From what I have read, this is more than likely the Gas Dryer Valve Coils going bad. The whole valve part number for this model is #DC52-00201A and I was wondering if the whirlpool manuf #279834 would work on this valve? Also, if you think that this is the solution?

Thanks so much.

I know very little about Samsung dryers. That said, I know lots about other appliances.

I think the WP coils might work. They work on most modern gas dryers.

What I would do is take very careful measurement of the original coils. Outside, inside, length, and the resistance of the coils.

Compare that to the WP coils and if they match up, give it a try. The resistance measurement doesn't have to be exact. within 50 to 70 ohms would probably be OK.

The inside diameter is very important.
