I have an LG fridge. The ice dispenser was failing. It would make and dump ice but would not open the flapper. Found the solenoid melted as was the flapper arm. Replaced the solenoid, flapper and arm. Plugged it back in and the solenoid and flapper door work perfect but it activates all the time. It never turns off. The switch on the door for ice dispense works fine just the solenoid never turns off, henceforth why it melted. (bad circuit board?)
