My refrigerator has a single feed water supply valve at the rear of the refrigerator. Water is leaking where the plastic supply tube exits the valve. The valve has a quick connect on the bottom, and the plastic tube is simply inserted through the ring on the valve. I removed and inspected the end of the plastic tube, and actually cut off 1/4" so the tube is clean and square on the end. Following some video instructions I viewed, I reinserted the tube. Water still gushes out when we dispense water or the ice maker refills. Tried reinstalling the line several times and no change.
Before ordering a replacement valve I'd like to confirm that it's likely the otherwise properly functioning valve has failed in some way at the tube connection point. Thanks in advance.

As long as the tube doesn't have any cracks or anything, I'd say a valve is all you need.
