Hi please help .. I had a repair guy come in and repair my fridge that was not freezing- $400 later and a new replaced capacitor .. two weeks later the freezer stops again .. repair guy tells me it's the timer a d it will cost $200.. I refuse to pay more so I bought it myself and replaced it.. gave it a few clicks with the screwdriver and it starts running.. then I notice it hasn't turned off one .. its constantly running and won't stop.. is it supposed to do that until it settles? Why does it keep running non stop? Should I give the timer a few more clicks ? Please help I'm so exhausted with this fridge already .. thx

First, post your entire model number for reference. Second, is there any frost on the back wall of the freezer? How are the temps?

So by half point you mean...? Have you checked the actual temps inside the unit? How long has it been running nonstop? When did you put the timer in it?

I put the timer in yesterday.. it can for about two hours straight.. then I turned the temp knob off and back on in the freezer.. it turned off.. didn't turn back on for over an hour.. so I turned it back off and on again .. it ran again.. the temp is good cause everything was still frozen good in freezer and fridge food was at cold temp also ..

Refrigerators typically require 24 hours for temps to stabilize. It doesn't sound as though it is running non stop. If the temps are good and the unit is shutting down periodically I would say it is working fine. If you shut it off and then turn it back on, it will not start right up, especially if the t-stat is satisfied.
