Recently, my microwave has begun a rather unique issue. Everything seems to be working just fine (heat, and all features, etc.). However, when the cooking cycle is done, I get the beep, but when I open the oven nothing works - lights out, panel totally inoperative. (Note: it doesn't always do this, but now more often than not). So far, I can get by this issue by hard reset (unplug, plug). I would really like not to have to replace this unit, but I'm wondering if in the long run I might be better off doing just that.

I'm not that electrically nor mechanically inclined. If I do have to replace, is there another GE 1.7 cu ft model that would have the same mounting frame configuration. Dimensions of this unit are 30x16x15 (more or less).

Kind thanks.
