I have a GE GDTP490EDWS dryer that I bought about two years ago. It will run for a few minutes then shut off. I have thoroughly cleaned out all of the lint. I'm assuming it is a thermostat but not sure which one. Any help on this? Any way I can check the thermostats to see which ones need replaced? I don't want to spend $200 on thermostats on a $350 dryer.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Would you mind checking your model number and reposting it? It's not coming up as valid. If you can get me that, I can point you in the right direction. Sounds like a cycling t-stat to me. It does heat at first right?

Sorry the model number is GTDP490EDWS. Yes it heats up at first. Usually on the tried or fourth restart it will finish the load.
