My Hotpoint dishwasher fills with water then does nothing. I can hear the timer working but it won't go into cycles. I do not have a mnual for troubleshooting. Any ideas on what part could be broken?

Most likely the problem caused by the stuck seals in the pump.

You can fix the old pump by replacing the seals and impeller or replace the whole pump and motor assembly.

- The part number for the seal & impeller kit is AP631386

- The part number for the pump & motor assembly is AP2616850

Both parts are coming with the installation instructions.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Hotpoint dishwasher Model HDB820-03
